Checkups
By attending regular checkups, your special needs patient will be given the opportunity to avoid and/or manage major dental problems. We will check each tooth for decay, tooth damage, and infection. Screenings include radiographs (X-rays), an oral cancer assessment, and periodontal screening for advancing gum disease.
Our team of special needs dentists, assistants, hygienists, and anesthesiologists understands the sensitive nature of providing dentistry for the disabled and handicapped. Every patient is unique, and we will treat him or her as such. We understand the necessity of a comprehensive, thorough checkup. If you have questions about our findings and recommended treatment, please ask. We are always happy to answer questions and help caregivers and/or patients gain a full understanding of the dental treatment plans we recommend. A hygiene visit will be scheduled following every checkup.
