Meet Dr. Ford

Frank E. Ford DDS, BS

Dr. Ford earned his Bachelor of Science in Dentistry from Baylor University, and then received his Doctor of Dental Surgery from University of Texas Dental Branch at Houston in 1972. Dr. Ford began caring for the dental needs of special needs patients as a staff dentist at Mexia State School for the Mentally Handicapped from 1977-1981. He then continued his education, completing a Medical Anesthesiology Residency program from Baylor College of Medicine at Houston from 1981-1983. He has practiced in the DFW Metroplex for 25 years and particularly enjoys treating special needs patients.

Since opening his special needs practice in Duncanville, Dr. Ford has gathered a talented, dedicated team of likeminded dental professionals who have a passion for special needs patients. This team, state-of-the-art technology, and sedation services, contribute to our full-service, specialized dental center that caters to the unique needs of mentally handicapped, mentally retarded, cerebral palsy, autistic, Alzheimer's, and dementia patients.

Dr. Ford has earned many certifications, including Diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology as well as a Diplomate of the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He is a Fellow in general anesthesia of the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology (ADSA). He holds membership in the ADSA, as well as the American Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, Texas Society of Dentist Anesthesiologists, American Dental Association, and Texas Dental Association.

After business hours, Dr. Ford enjoys time with his family and church activities. He also likes to enjoy a little R&R with water and snow sports, including water skiing, jet skiing, snow skiing, and snowboarding.
